Each machine has to be hard-wired. We do not support
wireless network connections.
In order to better serve you, we have listed the devices that we support. If you have equipment that is not on this list, you can contact us about possible support.
We cannot certify our software with any other equipment that is not listed here. If you purchase our software and don't have equipment listed here, you may incure additional
charges for us to support it or we may not be able support it at all. It is suggested that you stick with the list below. Of course all Hardware ordered directly from us is guaranteed
to be compatible. Any existing hardware configurations will need to be qualified on a case by case basis for a qualification fee of $50.00 per device
Receipt Printers
Samsung and Epson series receipt printers with a USB or parallel interface to your computer and 3 1/8" wide cash register receipt tape rolls.
We are currently delivering the POS-X XR510-U Thermal Receipt Printer which uses the Generic Text Driver and is compatible with the TCS program.
Label Printers
Zebra LP2824 and LP2844
Barcode Scanner
Any Scanning Gun that plugs directly into the keyboard port of your PC or a USB port and recognizes "Code-128" style barcodes and the tab character will work with our TCS software.
Cash Drawer
Any MMF Cash Drawer capable of plugging directly into the back of your receipt printer and is compatible with the brand of printer being used.
Pole Display
The POSX Pole Display is also compatible with our software.
USB Printer Interface
The following
pictures are typical of PC based systems.
The cable provided will
connect between these ports and
is referred to as a USB A to B Cable
(Unless you request no cable be sent)
PRINTER SIDE This is the USB Port on the PRINTER itself,
if you are replacing a printer, and the port on the printer looks like
this, it is a USB. The shape of a USB port on the printer side is square shaped.
Look at the next picture to help
determine which cable you will need.
COMPUTER SIDE These are USB Ports,
located on the back of your computer. If you have one of these available,
and your software supports a USB port, you may choose to use a USB
Interfaced receipt printer. The shape of a USB port on the computer side is rectangular shaped.
Parrallel Printer Interface
This
is the Parallel Port on the printer itself, if you are replacing a
printer, and the port on the printer looks like this, it is a Parallel
printer.
This
is the Parallel Port, located on the back of your computer. If you have
one of these available, and your software supports a Parallel port, you
may choose to use a Parallel Interfaced receipt printer. Parallel
communications are faster and they are typically easier to install and
set up
Serial Printer Interface
This
is the Serial Port on the PRINTER itself, if you are replacing a
printer, and the port on the printer looks like this, it is a serial
printer.
Look at the next picture to help determine which cable you will need.
DB-9 and RS-232 DB25 Male
These
are Serial Ports, located on the back of your computer. If you have one
of these available, and your software supports a serial port, you may
choose to use a Serial Interfaced receipt printer. Make a note on which
type of port you have available. Your cable choice is only DB9.
